Affiche réalisée pour une exposition de l’artiste au Casino de Saint-Céré (Lot), où Jean Lurçat, installé au château de Saint-Laurent-les-Tours à partir de 1945, contribua à faire rayonner la tapisserie contemporaine.
La composition reprend son univers symbolique : un taureau orné de fleurs, entouré d’un serpent et d’oiseaux fantastiques, dans un foisonnement de couleurs vives et contrastées.
Texte imprimé : « Mon seul serpent c’est l’horizon » – « Jamais ailleurs ou se marie la terre au ciel comme en feuille du terre bleu, l’arbre vert ».
Signature imprimée « Lurçat » en bas au centre.

État : bon état général, papier jauni, petites rousseurs et traces d’ancienneté dans les marges, couleurs très fraîches. Présentée dans un cadre ancien doré (offert, sans valeur marchande).
