We have now corrected the manufacturing fault that led to the odd capsule having its lid firmly jammed on, while some can still be a bit sticky at first you no longer should need pliers to open any.

Don't be thrown off by the price, this is an absolutely worthwhile upgrade over Storz and Bickels own dosing capsules. Whereas theirs are designed to be disposable (despite not being cheap enough to justify being so) due to being made out of moulded aluminium that leeches into your herb with prolonged use, these machined stainless steel dosing capsules are designed to last. They won't deform while you put them together or take them apart. They are extremely durable and hard to even dent, infinitely more so than the original aluminium dosing capsules. This inherent hardiness also means these steel capsules don't leave particulates in your vapour like aluminium does, which is very important for your health.
The capsules capacity is slightly smaller than the originals 0.25g.
While steel does take longer to heat up than aluminium you can counter this by simply allowing the dosing capsule to sit in the heating chamber for 10-30 seconds before use, however many claim this slower heat-up time results in a better flavour-profile anyway so give it a shot.
Warnings:
- Steel retains heat for longer than aluminium so please be careful when removing the capsules, they might be hotter than you expect.
- These capsules are around ~1mm smaller in width than the originals, this is because these capsules are machined from steel and it would be prohibitively expensive to add a taper like the moulded aluminium original capsules have. While this does allow some air to pass around the capsule there is no noticeable decrease in the vapour quality.
All this makes these dosing capsules a must-buy accessory for many Storz and Bickels devices in our honest opinion.
