- Lower Unit Gear Lube Drain and Fill Hole Screw and Seal 79953Q04. Used with 3/8 - 16 drain/fill hole screw on all MerCruiser stern drives, Mercury and Mariner outboards.
- This is the non-magnetic plug screw version. Helps prevent gear lube from leaking out and water from seeping in to the gear case causing serious damage.
- 18-2244 Drain Screw for Mercury and Mercruiser. This Drain Screw is for use with the following: for Mercruiser I, R, MR, Alpha One, TR, TRS & all O/Bs with 3/8-16 non-magnetic gear lube fill or vent screws.
- All Merc's use the 3/8 x 16 plug and the top plug on your lower unit is the "vent" plug. You pump the oil in from the bottom plug, til it comes out of the top one. Then screw the top plug in tight, then quickly screw the bottom plug in to minimize oil loss.
