Much on the qualities that make up a good gun by this famous maker. It intended as a primer on the basics of shooting. It covers a wide array of subjects, but focuses on the understanding of precisely how a firearm works. In addition, it gives advice on the hunting of small game (rabbits, pheasants etc.), recoil tables showing distances for certain categories of weapon, and an essay on the 'purpose' of shooting. Scarce.

Some pencil marks & stamps on the cover page.  Mild foxing to the edge of some of the pages. Please see photos for overall wear.
