Phenolic faced boards used for vehicle flooring have their edges sealed at the factory. This maintains the plywood core and protects it from moisture ingress which could shorten the life of the board, or lead to damage.

When cutting the boards for vehicle floors, it is important that any cut edges are sealed in the same way, e.g. the edges or cutouts for lashing points.

If you want to seal your own floor / boards such as Rhino Board, Buffalo Board, Hexadeck etc, then this water-based, acrylate edge sealing paint is the answer. It provides a flexible covering of the cut edges that will protect from moisture.

• RAL 9005 which is described as Jet Black
• RAL 8019 which is described as Grey Brown. It is brown but with a grey hue to it.
