The Predator New Mutant X-RT is a rugged terrain, all season tire made for light trucks. Predator offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

Predator covers this tire model and size with its 1-year Road Hazard Warranty! If this tire sustains road hazard damage (which is most typically caused by nails, glass, or potholes) on its tread area, customers have a right to use the Road Hazard warranty for a Tire Replacement or Tire Repair. To receive the Road Hazard warranty, customers with damaged tires must file a claim with Predator.

The model's aggressive tread pattern is specially designed for rugged terrain use. The staggered, irregular-shaped blocks utilize a high number of biting edges for off-road traction. This results in consistent grip and forward motion in a range of soft, loose, and uneven terrain conditions. The siping on the upper sidewall and the shoulder block edges further enhance grip on uneven terrain. The void ratio is optimized to enable the tire's self-cleaning ability that takes care of mud, snow, and rocks. It prevents stone retention and prevents the tire footprint from being blocked from surface contact.

The tread elements cover a large surface contact area and form a flat footprint at the same time. This greatly improves the tire's stability, enabling the driver to count on quick and precise steering responses. With better driving stability, the model ensures a safer driving experience while its structure is secured against the driving pressure. The shoulder blocks come with a sharp side-edge, which helps a lot when it comes to cornering. Since the whole tread is covered with biting edges, the tire has no problem maintaining a firm grip with the terrain surface.

The tire's all season compound enables it to perform exceptionally well in versatile weather conditions. The footprint provides the hydroplaning prevention needed for superb wet, dry, and winter traction throughout the year. The Predator New Mutant X-RT boasts a completely flat footprint that equally distributes the load and driving pressure across the tread. This results in slow tread wear, while irregularities are unlikely to form on the tread. The premium rubber compound is sturdy enough to further slow down the tire's tread wear rate, significantly extending tread life. Forces that affect the footprint during cornering, braking, and acceleration are equally spread, keeping it in excellent shape.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
