1860 MINIATURE FINE DE LA RUE INDELIBLE POCKET DIARY MEMORANDUM BOOK & ALMANACK - LEATHER

Almost unused.

Bound in green morocco leather with gilt decoration, working brass clasp, pen holder with original metal tipped pen, gilt page edges. Pockets inside both covers. Lined with fine green silk, book block held by an elasticated cord. Interesting almanack with some astronomy articles as well as the usual tables and information. Frontispiece showing an early telescopic view of Jupiter with a moon in transit. Diary and observations section.

As mentioned before almost unused, some light entries in the first few pages of January, and a single line in the notes. Owners initials in gilt front board and named on the memorandum title page. Rear pocket contains a small feather keepsake, and a romantic motto, as found.

In superb condition, some stitched repairs to spine cover ends. Very minor marks and wear from age and handling.
