Handsome, vintage button features the well-known design known as Pharaoh's Horses. Crafted from an unknown material, it most closely reminds me of a ceramic, clay or plaster. There is some light wear, abrasions and some loss of the green paint. A line appears to perhaps from a trapped paintbrush hair? Under the middle horse's lower jaw there is a tiny fissure that reveals some white - so it may be a metallized plaster base. The surface is a lovely copper color, with touches of green paint to help bring out definition.  Measures just over 1".
