Antique Art Nouveau German Silver Enamel Pansy Charm Engraved Pin Punch Detail

^{This is an Art Nouveau flower charm or pendant which features a beautiful pansy bloom encircled by green foliage. The bloom represents remembrance, or thinking of someone. The word pansy derives from the French word pensée, which means thought. The flower has become a symbol of remembrance for loved ones.}

^{The silver and enamel are in great condition with no damage, just some light wear. The tri-color enameled pansy is striking in dark purple, violet, and yellow. The colors are still vibrant despite the age. The engraved detail is exquisite, with chisel and pin punch-style engraving. Pin punch engraving (the tiny punched dots dancing around the foliage) is unusual to find. It takes great skill to achieve uniformity.}

^{The charm measures 3/4 of an inch, and is stamped with Austrian import marks to the suspension loop. It is made of .800 silver, and dates to the early 1900's.}
