RARE Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro Chinese man Teapot/Pitcher Pottery Portuguese

Anthropomorphic jug, molded from red clay. It represents the head of a Chinese man, pouting, with rosy cheeks, and a pert nose, which forms the spout of the teapot. He has thin hair and sideburns. At the top of the piece, a braid forms the handle, extending to the back, where there is a conical hole for the liquid to enter, surrounded by a lock of hair. The piece sits on a circular base with fluting, imitating a collar with a bow. The piece is glazed in a natural tone, with brown-glazed hair and braid, and the collar is enameled white and the bow is glazed blue.

Treasure this original piece as a standout addition to your decor or as a thoughtful gift for enthusiasts
