Description:  This is a figurine of Herman Von Salza, Teutonic knight Grand Master holding the Bible and a sword.  Hermann von Salza was the fourth Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights, serving from 1210 to 1239. A skilled diplomat with ties to the Frederick II and the Pope, Hermann oversaw the expansion of the military order into Prussia.

 

Condition: It is in excellent condition.  This beautiful miniature has been on display in an enclosed glass cabinet in my home office for several years.  This auction includes the original box with foam padding and certificate.
