Icon of Vyacheslav of Bohemia
The icon of Vyacheslav must be in the possession of a Christian named after Saint Vyacheslav. Vyacheslav of Bohemia was born in Prague into a princely family. He was the grandson of the holy martyr Ludmila, a Czech princess. Vyacheslav received an excellent education: he was fluent in three languages. And he was quite educated and enlightened in various sciences. Suffice it to say that his teacher was Prester Paul, a follower of Saint Methodius.

After his father's death in 920 in a battle with the Hungarian army, Vyacheslav ascended the princely throne. He ruled fairly. He built Orthodox temples, churches and cathedrals. This state of affairs could not suit the German clergy. As a result, having persuaded the outright envious and incompetent people, among whom was the proud and power-hungry brother of the prince Boleslav, they managed to eliminate Vyacheslav when he was going to the temple for the morning service. On the steps of the temple, Vyacheslav was killed by his brother and his wicked conspiratorial friends.
