The M-256F is designed to work seamlessly with numerous Roland devices, including Alpha Juno 2, GR-700, GR-77B, MKS-10, MKS-20, MKS-30, MKS-70, MKS-80, TR-707, TR-727, TR-909, JX-8P, and JX-10. It offers compatibility with Roland’s M-64C cartridge while providing four times the memory capacity, organized into four separate 64Kbit banks. Additionally, these new cartridges may be compatible with Roland M-16C and M-32C cartridges, adding even more flexibility to your setup.
Note: some early revisions of the JX-8P seem to refuse to work with this newer memory cartridge technology.
