This unique set is a must-have for any Mid-Century Modern collector. Handblown by Pilgrim Glass in the post-1940 era, this fruit set features a stunning satin finish and showcases a colorful mix of bananas, apples, and pears. The glass material is of top quality, adding to the overall charm of this original piece. Its origins can be traced back to the United States, and it's sure to make a statement in any room it's displayed in.

The pear and apple have a matte amberina coloration.  The bananas are each slightly different yellow (one being a bit more greenish).  Typical of manufacture, the tips of the stems on the apple and pear as well as the ends of the bananas have some slight roughness where the glass was pinched off.  One banana has a line in the glass one one side...it's  not a crack, but a pressed in line which was done during manufacture.

The bananas are harder pieces to find.  The pear bears the Pilgrim Glass foil label.  The origins of these pieces are known as they belong to my 93 year old mother who purchased them directly from Pilgrim Glass.  She displayed them for many years during the 1960s and 1970s in a glass fruit bowl.  They have been taken care of.

The apple stands approximately 3" tall, the pear approximately 4.75" tall, and each banana is about 8" long.

About Us: We come from a large family of 9 children. We operated an antique store for many years and now sell exclusively on eBay. My mother is in her 90s and is the backbone of the operation.

The items we list are from our own personal store which closed over 20 years ago. Many have been boxed for 30 or more years. Some items come from estates and auctions and markets. If we know the history of the item, we will put it in the listing.

And, please, don't hesitate to contact us for any reason. We want your eBay experience to be a good one.
