Wanting
to sell this ASRock X99 Extreme4 motherboard, it is an X99 chipset with
an
LGA2011-3 socket. I purchased it last year, but I
ended up not being able to get it fully working. It will POST and run an OS, but the four memory slots to the left of the CPU socket (A1, A2, B1, B2) don't work. It's odd, the motherboard recognizes there is memory in those slots in the BIOS, but the capacity of any memory in those slots isn't usable or addressable via the OS and isn't counted as usable in total memory capacity in the BIOS. If you put memory in only the four slots to the left of the CPU socket (A1, A2, B1, B2), the motherboard won't POST, but it will post with any combination in the slots to the right side (C1, C2, D1, D2) in my testing of it. Initially, I thought maybe it was a BIOS issue, so I tried flashing about 4 different BIOS versions and none of them affected the memory slots issue. Didn't see any bent pins in the CPU socket.
I don't really
need it, and would like to
clean out my inventory of spare parts I have on hand.
As
with basically all of my electronics auctions this item is sold as-is
and I offer no guarantees, no warranties, and
will not take returns or give refunds on this item. Also, I can't guarantee something won't
happen to it in transit, or that the buyer or someone else (buyer's
friends, computer repair shop technicians, etc) won't somehow damage it
during testing or installation of components. I'm not a retailer or
business, just an individual selling some unused things I have on hand,
so it's not like I keep a large inventory on hand for returns or
replacements. Once it leaves my
possession I have no control over what can or will happen to it. I have
had this happen before where someone bought a motherboard from me, then
took the board to a PC shop to have it set up and the PC technicians
there
damaged the CPU and CPU socket during installation and caused a no-POST
scenario.
Payment due within
48-hours of this listing's end. If you haven't paid me within a week
and do not make any attempts to contact me I will open up a non-paying
bidder case against you. I will ship this to the
continental United States/lower 48 states (and maybe Canada, I've sold
to there maybe twice without issue), and the shipping cost is
calculated and
includes the cost of
insurance.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
