A vintage embroidery, dating to the 1960s.
It is a still life of flowers, pink and golden roses in a blue vase. It looks as though they are just being arranged as some stems lie on the surface beside the vase.
This is not my area of expertise but it looks to be silk thread on a natural coloured linen backing.
In excellent condition, the only point to note is a small mark lower left, close to the frame, see fourth photograph above.
Presented in a vintage off white painted frame with a linen type fabric inset. In very good vintage condition.
Has a Boots Picture Framing Department label verso which is date stamped Dec 1961.
Glazed and ready to hang.
Measures 65 x 56cm including the frame.
