Check out this amazing Asbach Uralt Brandy Decanter, circa 1900-1930's, with 1950's period 3 liter bottle!
This fabulous eye-catching and clever dispenser is in nice condition with no cracks, chips or dings to bottle. The bottle is a 3-liter, 2- piece mold-style bottle with a 1 1/16" inner diameter mouth opening.
The rack locks the bottle in at the top with a felted pinned closure, and it can then be pivoted for decanting into a glass. The original paper label at the top is still in great shape.
This dispenser would be great on a bar filled with your homemade liquor/liqueur, or simply add add a colored water to make it POP.
The wrought iron base is 7 1/2" wide x 10 1/2" deep at base and 22" tall. It's in great shape, likely has been re-felted and repainted at some time, and only has a bit of rust showing on bottom of the feet. These were a light bronze finish when originally shipped - and this one is bronze but appears to be more recent.
The item is clearly marked Asbach-Uralt on the base. Asbach-Uralt still makes the 3 liter bottles, and you can purchase a new bottle (with Brandy) to use this as originally intended!
