Function:
This device is designed to open and close heating circuits on an underfloor heating manifold, controlling the flow of water to specific zones or rooms.

Operation:

It works by responding to signals from a room thermostat, allowing for individual temperature control and improving the energy efficiency of the underfloor heating system.

Mechanism:

The actuator utilizes a PTC resistor-heated wax element and a compression spring to move an integrated ram, which in turn operates the valve.it’s the classic thermal wax motor at work. Much like in old thermostat-controlled car radiators, this actuator uses a wax pellet that expands when heated by an internal resistive element (powered by the 230V supply). The expansion gently pushes a piston, which in turn opens or closes the valve it’s mounted to.
