This is OLD STOCK , unused in original plain box - w/ a light up feature that MAY or MAY NOT work.
1960s "made in Hong Kong" snow globe depicts the Shriner's hospital with 2 nurses and little kids in wheelchairs.
I have several of these- all unused. This snow globe comes with its own batteries in the box but I HIGHLY doubt they work .
I put in 2 batteries from the dollar store. It lit up for a few seconds and then went off for good. I could not get the light back at all. These are very old and low budget so it comes as no surprise. MY example you see in my MAIN PHOTO was filled up with water as most of it was evaporated sitting in the box for decades. (I filled the globe with water AFTER the fact of the light dying; otherwise you cannot run water near the battery compartment! The plug for the refill water is right up against the battery compartment ! DO NOT FILL WITH WATER until you know the light will not work -- it's up to you .)
The old batteries that are free inside the box - are a BIT shorter than NEWLY MADE batteries ! I had to squeeze the 2 NEW batteries in there -- it was TIGHT.
Really cool OLD STOCK light-up snow globe in the box. Water will be mostly evaporated when you get this (YOU need to fill it) . The chances are good that the light will not work...... but maybe it will ? Selling this "as is" for that reason. NO RETURNS .
