Product Description

Tokoname ware is a traditional Japanese pottery made in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.

It is made mainly from red clay and fired at high temperatures, giving it a unique texture.

It is characterized by its simple and practical design and is widely used as tableware and tea ceremony utensils.

It has a long history, and even today many craftsmen are creating new pieces while preserving the traditions.

■The entire teapot is made of pottery. The ceramic tea strainer (sasame tea strainer) that can extract the flavor of the tea is a feature of Takasuke Kama.

■The water flows well and you can pour comfortably.

■Please consider it as a capacity for two people (100ml per person)

■The red clay is fired at 1100 degrees and then carbonized at 800 degrees to turn it black. The material does not contain any harmful substances.

■The lid and body are ground together to make a pair. As a result, there are polishing marks on the lid and body.
