Product Description

Tokoname ware is a traditional Japanese pottery made in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.

It is made mainly from red clay and fired at high temperatures, giving it a unique texture.

It is characterized by its simple and practical design and is widely used as tableware and tea ceremony utensils.

It has a long history, and even today many craftsmen are creating new pieces while preserving the traditions.

■We use a stainless steel mesh strainer that can be used safely even with deep-steamed tea with fine tea leaves.

■Please consider the capacity to be for 1-2 people (100ml per person)

■The red clay is fired at 1100 degrees and then carbonized at 800 degrees to turn it black. The material does not contain any harmful substances.

■The morning glory painting is hand-painted.

■The lid and body are ground together to make a pair. As a result, there are polishing marks on the lid and body.
