Case replacement is an ideal solution to revive your worn out looking key fob. Especially if flip mechanism has failed. 

Open your old key fob and transfer circuit board including transponder chip into new shell. Shell should be secured with superglue where 2 halves meet. New key blade would have to be cut by locksmith to match your original.
