Antique sleigh shape inlayed wood foot rest on turned feet and original needlepoint (wool) embroidered upholstery.
The foot stool is probably filled with horse hair, firm, slightly rough to touch relief wool embroidery in subtle beiges and pink shades, hessian trim.
It's made of mahogany, inlay bands are lighter wood and there's a black detail, probably ebony.
I don't know how old it could be, my best guess is 184-60's, might be earlier, as it's a small piece the condition is remarkable.

- Measures: height 20,5cm, 35,5cm long and 37cm wide, 3,157kg.
- Condition: Excellent: solid construction, original upholstery, clean (washed), no restoration. I deliberately left the small part of trim loose for you to see the nails under, there's no re-upholstery, the nails are pretty rusty and original, you can also see the base canvas of embroidered cover. There is no sagging neither damage to upholstery.
- What did I do: washed, it was dusty, polished with wood polish.
- Please don't try to buy it in USA, import of Mahogany is not allowed.
