Up for bid is an original vintage pre-owned Broadway New York 1921 Playbill Gaiety Theatre Frank Bacon in LIGHTNIN’.  Found at an estate sale of a collector of Broadway, Musical and Entertainment memorabilia.  Frank Bacon (January 16, 1864 – November 19, 1922), was an American character actor and playwright who after years of relative obscurity achieved great success as he entered the twilight of his career. The 1918 play LIGHTNIN’, which Bacon co-wrote and starred in, set a Broadway record for the day of 1,291 performances and was still going strong on tour after more than 700 shows when Bacon was forced to bow out due to fatigue. His death from a heart attack followed a week later.  This 1921 Theatre Program is from Gaiety Theatre on Broadway in New York City, New York.  There are lots of old B&W and some nice color 1920s advertisements, including ads with women's fashions and furs along with cigarettes, cars, medicines, banks, etc.  The cover is by F. Earl Christy as well-known Pin-Up Artist whose work often focused on Ivy League college life, mainly football games and the well-dressed women who attended them."  In well preserved condition with general wear from age and storage.  It was mounted in a scrapbook.  On the back cover has some lost surface spots from glue when it was removed from the scrapbook (see pictures).  Please see pictures for more condition details or e-mail with any questions.
