CONDITION:  the front cover is separate.  there is some general wear to the cover and around the edges, some yellowing to the pages but given age it is in good order

condition: the spine cover is damaged at the bottom of the spine, there is general bumping and discolouration to the cover, pages are yellowed and showing signs of age.  acceptable condition

nicely bound in leather with gold detailing, metal covered edges and clasp, nice item, some bumping to the edges and the matal is tarnished in places but given age in good overall condition

 large bible - volume one - which features a page of family history information on the COPPLESTONE family.   There is a certificate of service which is in very bad condition, I've tried not the handle it too much - it is for GEORGE ALFRED MARTIN service number 133427.  it is dated. in the late 1800s and gives his date of birth as 6 April 1866.  The family registry starts with JOHN COPPLESTONE born 1843 in Devonport and carries onto a list of MARTIN relations born in the same area.  The entries go through to 1955 - see photos.  The spine cover is loose and attached only on one side, there is some marking to the cover.  it is a large volume with golden edges, and illustrations.  The binding is holding well except for the loose front cover and spine cover.  the document is in very poor condition and is very delicate.
