Description:
This Kyo-yaki (Kyoto ware) porcelain tea cup set features a hand-carved chrysanthemum relief design that fits comfortably in the hand. The surface is decorated with traditional Shonzui-style blue-and-white patterns, including landscapes, birds and flowers, pine and bamboo motifs—hallmarks of classic Japanese ceramic art.

Kyo-yaki, also known as Kiyomizu-yaki, is a traditional craft from Kyoto, with origins tracing back to master potters like Rokubei Kiyomizu and Dohachi Takahashi along the Gojozaka slope near Kiyomizu Temple.

Each item is handmade and hand-painted, so slight variations in color, shape, or pattern may occur. These differences add to the uniqueness and charm of the piece.
