"The Bloomer's Complaint" is the title of a song published in 1851 that satirizes the "bloomer costume," a controversial form of women's dress advocated by Amelia BloomerThe song, described as "A Very Pathetic Song for the Piano Forte," uses humor and exaggeration to critique the fashion trend of women wearing loose-fitting trousers under a short skirt.
