The BMS 4512ND Planar wave driver radiates a coherentplanar wave front form a rectangular piston without internaldiffraction for superior dispertion control and high fidelitysound. This distinctive new transducer was engineered to workwith 4-inch (4” x 1”) rectangular throat waveguides providingextremely high sensitivity.The 4512ND is optimised for 10° vertical dispertion and allowsa horizontal coverage from 60° to 120° depending on thewaveguide used. The unique design of the 4512ND planarwave driver allows perfect acoustical coupling of individualunits to create virtually continuous line source.The BMS annular diaphragm together with the cost effective,high efficiency Neodymium magnet assembly offers aneconomical solution for high performance line arrays.The ring diaphragm works similar as a wound 140 mm longribbon diaphragm providing linear frequency response up to 20kHz. The unique planar wave phase plug provides a coherentplanar wave front without internal diffraction.
