ROLEX
1984 MOD.16750
GMT-MASTER II
SPIDER DIAL
PEPSI BEZEL
STAINLESS STEEL
AUTOMATIC
CHRONOMETER
popular at launching in 1981
for the quick-set Calibre
3075 movement that allowed
the date to be set independent
of the hour hand, and for
doubling the GMT line depth
rating to 100 meters, the
1984 transitional Mod. 16750
Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Stainless Steel GMT-Master
II Automatic Chronometer
offered here is more recently
coveted for its "spider dial"--
hairline cracks in the
glossy black lacquered dial
(with white gold trimmed
hour markers) as well as
its now iconic bi-directional
rotating bezel with an
aluminum blue and red
"Pepsi" bezel insert
other features of the
Mod. 16750 include the
Cyclops lens-over-date at
3 o'clock, Tritium for the
luminescent areas on the dial,
acrylic crystal and stainless
steel oyster bracelet with
stainless steel deployant clasp
condition
our watch is in excellent
cosmetic condition, showing
minimum signs of age (41
yrs) and wear overall, such
as some small scratches
to the crystal (that may
appear to be flaws to the
dial and are not) and less
than usual wear to the
stainless steel bracelet,
which is often stretched
to a condition that is an
anathema to most owners
(who likes "limp" anything?)
& is certainly not Germaine
in this case
mechanical condition is also
excellent, the watch having
been serviced by reputable
Marina Bay Watch Co. in
Marina del Rey, CA, which
offers the new owner a one
year warranty for labor
(exclusively for normal wear)
