The Acme Air Appliance Company, Inc., based in Brooklyn, New York, was a prominent manufacturer of tire-related hardware and service products, including tire valve insides. Established in 1915, the company operated at least into the late 1960s, as evidenced by a 1968 catalog titled "Acme for Accuracy since 1915. Tire Hardware and Service Products." according to Duke university archives

Acme specialized in components associated with pneumatic tire systems, such as air valves and air gauges. These products were essential for vehicles like automobiles and bicycles, which commonly used Schrader valves—a type of pneumatic tire valve invented in 1891 and widely adopted across various vehicles.
