COUPE EN PORCELAINE – BING & GRØNDAHL, DANEMARK (VERS 1930)

Petite coupe en porcelaine de forme tronconique, reposant sur un pied cylindrique, éditée par la manufacture danoise Bing & Grøndahl vers 1930.
Le décor associe un émaillage craquelé, des motifs floraux stylisés sur fond rouge profond, et des réhauts d’or, typiques du vocabulaire ornemental de l’époque.

À cette période, la manufacture est bien connue en France, notamment à travers l’édition des œuvres de Jean René Gauguin, sculpteur franco-danois et fils du peintre Paul Gauguin.
La coupe présentée n’est pas liée à cet artiste, mais illustre parfaitement la production décorative de la maison.

Small conical porcelain bowl on a cylindrical foot, produced by the Danish manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl around 1930.
The decoration features a craquelure glaze, stylised floral patterns on a deep red ground, and gold highlights, all characteristic of the ornamental style of the period.

At that time, the company was well known in France, especially through the edition of works by Jean René Gauguin, Franco-Danish sculptor and son of painter Paul Gauguin.
This bowl is not linked to him, but it beautifully reflects the decorative production of the firm.
