Tsuyoshi Ueda creates bronze vessels with immersive landscapes. He worked as an assistant to Kōji Hatakeyama, a renowned Japanese broze artist held in makor museums throughout the world. Ueda applies chemicals and various treatments, including rice bran, to the bronze surface of this piece causing the metal to corrode. Ueda teaches metalworking techniques at the Crafts Department of Kanazawa College of Art. His work is held by the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
