Name – The New Minutiae Pocket Atlas of Tyosen, South
Korea
Date – 1941
Publisher – listed, but in Korean or Japanese, we cannot
translate it
Contents – Contains 7 separate folded maps of various
sizes, but around 10x14” each being typical.
Also there is a single page of text, but in some Oriental language.
Note – This item seems to be extremely scarce. Google and Bookfinder each contain a single
listing for this booklet, both listings for the same copy, it is listed for
$1000 due to its scarcity. The booklet may have been published by the Japanese Overlords
who had since the early 1900s control of the entire Korean Peninsula.
Size – Booklet is about 3.25x5.75” as issued
Condition – the maps and the text page are in Fine
condition, but the back cover is missing which also damaged the spine cover,
front cover is a bit worn on the edges. All contents are stapled together, in
fine shape. Each folded map has a short tear where the map is attached to the
stapled binding, not compromising the maps themselves.
