OVERVIEW

The Blackhawk Ridgecrawler R/T is a rugged terrain, all weather tire made for light trucks and SUVs. Blackhawk offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire provides true year-round traction. The durable compound blend and the stable block placement work together in order to increase its dry, wet, and winter performance. These elements allow the tire to improve its rubber flexibility throughout the year, including in severe winter conditions. On the other hand, the tread firmly grips the road with extra biting edges, improving its performance. On-road hydroplaning is prevented with the optimized grooves that disperse water and slush from below the footprint.

Exceptional off-road grip is guaranteed with this tire. Better traction is ensured with the optimized tread elements. Staggered tread blocks and a high void ratio work together to improve the tire's soft, loose, and uneven terrain performance, enabling its consistent forward motion through deep mud. Additionally, the tire's self-cleaning capability is guaranteed. Rocks are ejected to prevent stone retention, while mud and snow are dispersed from between the tread elements to keep consistent surface contact.

The reinforced internal structure and the durable rubber compound upgrade the model’s load durability and damage resistance. The casing works together with the tread design and the compound to achieve this. The stronger construction does not deform under load and driving pressure, upgrading load capacity. On the other hand, these improvements enable the tire’s prevention of casing and tread damage. These elements enable the tire’s service life by avoiding various types of damage.

The Blackhawk Ridgecrawler R/T offers a longer-lasting tread life. The ideal tread design evenly spreads out the driving pressure along the tread area, while the wear-resistant compound slows the treadwear rate down. This combination actively prevents irregular and premature wear formations. As a result, the even and reduced wear boosts the tire’s service life and usability.

All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
