Antique Or Vintage Wedding Dress - PROJECT PIECE Lace & Beaded Bodice READ

Definitely a project piece that has already been started by the previous owner. Bodice and skirt have been separated from each other. I am not sure if the color and discolorations seen are from an attempt to to tea-dye it or not, but there are shades of yellowing throughout. The inside lining of the bodice is an ivory color. All of the lace is stitched on to the fabric in all sides with what looks like a very tine zig zag stitch (machine done). This is the same in the bodice and the skirt parts. There are 29 buttons and hooks up the deep v-back of the bodice. Measurement of the bodice are included in the photos. The skirt is made of a sheer top fabric (that is also yellowed) and an ivory colored toile attached piece. The lace shown on the skirt is attached to both the top and the toile layer. Lying flat (double sided), it measures approximately 46” in the longed place and about 54” wide in the widest place. There are some holes in the top layer as well as a place where it looks like a swatch has been cut out. The lace parts are not cut from, so if you wanted to use them for your own project, I think you would get good, continuous pieces. This has been in storage, kept in a clear plastic garment bag, for many years. I have been airing it out for a few weeks, but it still has a slight mustiness to it.
