Size: The printed area measures approximately 325mm x 455mm with good sized margins beyond; blank verso.

Description: An original, antique, copper-plate engraved, 17th century road map by John Ogilby. It includes a very decorative title cartouche and is hand coloured and printed on hand-laid paper. Drawn on a scale of one inch to a mile it includes topographical features and notable landmarks as the road passes through numerous settlements including Huntingdon, St Ives, Ely, Soham, Bury, Ipswich.

Condition: Very good condition. Centrefold, as published. Light age toning.  Some minor creasing. A few nicks to the edges of the sheet, not affecting the printed area. Wormhole to the bottom margin, again not interfering with the printed area. Please study all the images very carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
