Description:

Cherry blossom season - it's time for the Sakura Slam!

Sakura Slam boasts a square arena with fixed corner posts and a notched pushing platform to bring new, dynamic obstacles to the game. It also features eight new wrestlers with epic powers, bringing the total number of released wrestlers to 28!

With simple rules, surprising depth, and delightful toy-factor, the first game took the tabletop community by storm.

Exciting New Arena - We love the original Kabuto Sumo; the new arena is our way of amplifying everything we love about it and minimizing the things that occasionally bog it down. For example, pushing from the corners lowers the ability to “stalemate” by continuously pushing your wrestler towards the middle. The posts add more strategic opportunities and challenge you to think cleverly about your pushes.

Epic Wrestler Powers - Between Kabuto Sumo and the expansions, there are already a ton of wrestlers on the roster. That means that the Sakura Slam wrestlers have some of the most unique pieces and thrilling powers yet!

Enchanting Toy Factor - Kabuto Sumo has always been a “What game is that?” game. When you see it on a table and hear the laughs (or cries) and see the surprising amount of thought by the players about how they push the cute, wooden pieces, you want to get your hands on it and try it.

Work The Corners - Four fixed corner posts loom over each match. Using these posts, can you better predict how an aggressive maneuver will play out? Alternatively, if you’re near the edge: can you “rope-a-dope” and use the post defensively?

Play To Your Wrestler's Strengths - The different signature pieces and powers have been carefully crafted to capitalize on unique opportunities in each match. Don't forget to use them!

Sakura Slam is considered a core box and can be played standalone or combined with other Kabuto Sumo boxes.
