Description: An interesting and attractive, original, antique, double-sided strip road map from the 1720 edition of John Owen & Emanuel Bowen's 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd'.

The sheet of hand-laid paper is printed on both sides. The copper-engraved strip maps (with accompanying information about the locations along the route and embellishments such as coats of arms) are pages 11 & 12 of 'Britannia Depicta'. They have significant detail of topography and place names, Settlements along the route include:

Page 12 - London, Waltham Abbey, Ware

Provenance: 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd', London, 1720

Condition: Very good condition. Light age toning. Age spot at the left border of the county map (right edge of the road map on the reverse). Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
