Breitling Discontinued Blackbird Big Date (A44359)
The Blackbird is an evolution of the flagship model Chronomat. The big date below the 12 o'clock position on the matte black dial is eye-catching. The wing logo at 12 o'clock replaces the index. The small second at 3 o'clock is also distinctive. The heavy and solid face is reminiscent of the SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft.
The movement is the B44. The caliber was tuned by the company to chronometer certification by adding a chronograph module to the ETA2892A2. 28,800 vibrations per hour, approximately 42 hours of power reserve. It is also waterproof to 300m and highly robust.
A cool model that has been discontinued, although it is regrettable.
