An original oil painting by Hungarian listed artist Endre Kiss (b.1947).
It is a well painted still life depicting a metal tray with three apples and a glass of red wine with a carved metal base. Behind is a sprig of leaves, possibly vine leaves.
In this painting the artist has demonstrated his ability to depict all the different elements of the scene, the polished metal, the translucency of the wine in the glass, the shiny surface of the apples and the light catching the glass.
Signed lower right 'KISS E.' and has the artist's name on a little brass label below.
Painted on board and in excellent condition. Presented with a antiqued silver gilt wooden frame with painted sage green inset and inset mount of cream painted wood, the painting set within a silver metal frame at the centre. The frame is in very good condition but note some minor scratching to the lower left hand edge (see seventh photograph above).
Measures 35 x 40cm including the frame, the painting only is 17 x 23cm.

There is not a great deal of information about this artist but other examples of his work, most still lifes, can be found online. Another very like this sold for 240 Euros with a well known Austrian auction house in 2022.
