Der in Berlin weilende Regisseur Fritz Hippler kompilierte lediglich Material der an die Front entsandten Wochenschau-Teams. Verwendung fanden auch Aufnahmen von Leni Riefenstahls Team für einen dann nicht realisierten großen Film über den "Polenfeldzug".

DVD documentary about the German campaign in Poland.  Produced in Germany shortly after the end of the campaign in Poland, it traces the developments of the conflict from its origins during the Interwar period up to the march past of Wehrmacht troops in the heart of Warsaw

 Due to the fact that these films are almost 70 years old, the quality of this DVD varies.  There is quite a bit of flickering and contrast variations.  I would rate the overall movie as well-used VHS quality; though this has nothing to do with the transfer, but rather the source materials.  The sound, however, is very good.
