Size: The printed area measures approximately 385mm x 500mm with good sized margins beyond, Latin text verso.

Description: A very attractive, copper-engraved county map of Derbyshire published in the c.1660 Latin edition of Joan Blaeu's 'Atlas Novus'. The map is printed on good quality, hand-laid paper and is outline hand coloured. It features a very decorative title cartouche and distance scale and several coats of arms.

Condition:  Very good condition overall. Centrefold as published. Light age toning as normal with some minor age spotting predominantly to the margins. Faint crease adjacent to the centrefold at the base of the sheet. 1cm split at base of centrefold, repaired verso (well away from the printed area). Latin text verso. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
