Alas, the days of me using and wearing chaps are sadly passed. However, these beautiful chaps are ready to adorn and protect the legs of a new owner. They would be appropriate for equestrian shows, rodeos (probably not so much for bull riding or the sports wherein the tassels could encumber the rider), running barrels, parades, and just general leg protection.
They are solid camel/tan/beige leather with a suede interior. The hip area has brown accents. I have searched these chaps thoroughly and cannot find a designer label, marking, or size; hence, I will add measurements. They have lovely tassels down both legs and the zippers are very heavy duty and work freely. There is one silver conch in the back that secures the back waist panel; however, without affirmation of it is silver or silver plate, they are being priced as silverplate.
I do not see where they are not perfectly acceptable for either gender. The size does lean more so toward a 34" waist or smaller. The belt strap in the front looks practically new and adjusts to a total width of 3" to a 7" gap (would be possible to punch one or two more holes).
The waist measurement I obtained was up to 34" with a leeway of punching another hole to 35." The circumference at the top of the leg/thigh is 18."
The length of the inseam is 27" as the length of the ZIPPER; entire length is 34." There is additional drag in the leather as shown in photos almost to a length of 38" on the fringe trailing (similar to mud flaps on a vehicle).
