This is a beautiful vintage blue spongeware creamer with a classic rustic charm, produced by the Japanese Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC).

The blue spongeware pattern was a popular design for pottery in the 19th and 20th centuries, evoking a hand-crafted farmhouse aesthetic.  The glaze features white splatters on a rich cobalt blue background.
