Jazz Bass Pickguard Scratchplate Red Tortoise shell fit Fender American / Player

This is the more reddy one, we also sell a more bronwy one aka "Brown Tortoise Shell" - see our ebay store for details. In the photos I've included a photo of both the red and brown one, the red is on the left, brown on the right.

"Right then, if you want an EXACT FIT then just pay the ££££ and go for the proper Fender one. This one will very likely require a small amount of filing / sanding, and patience is the key. I have fitted this to a few jazz basses eg

Fender Standard Jazz Bass (Mexico)
Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass
And several others I can't remember. They ALL required a bit of light sanding. This is best done at the NECK POCKET end of the scratch plate. Took me about 5-7 minutes and a circle of sanding / fitting / sanding / fitting until I was happy. NO RETURNS if you attempt fitting and get it wrong - no-one wants to buy a used pickguard that's been botched ;o)"
