In 1869 Schwabacher Bros. Moved from San Francisco to Seattle and became Schwabacher Bros. & co. This sign is of that period. Measuring 30” by 8” it is painted galvanized metal. You can see how the Seattle branch repainted the original San Francisco sign. The original building where the Cigars were wholesaled still stands in Seattle’s Pioneer Square. Sign is rough, but rare. Love the original gold leaf lettering bleeding through. A must for any historical tobacco collector!
