Fluke 6500-2 Downloadable PAT Tester Details
The Fluke 6500-2 is Fluke's most powerful PAT tester, highly recommended for use by professional PAT testers.
This is the upgraded version of the standard Fluke 6200-2; the main difference is the inclusion of fully downloadable memory storage, allowing you to easily store and manage your testing results without having to jot everything down in a logbook*. A full QWERTY keyboard is built into the tester, making managing your stored data as simple as possible, even when you don't have access to a PC. You can even speed up asset management even further by purchasing an optional Fluke barcode scanner!
Testing with the Fluke 6500-2 is quick, intuitive and easy. All it requires is connecting your leads to an appliance and pressing one button to activate the test. A number of different pre-set testing procedures are available for this mode, or you can take full manual control over your PAT testing if you prefer.
The main interface of the 6500-2 includes a port for a standard 3-pin mains plug and a connector for IEC style leads (commonly found on IT equipment etc) and a 110V connector, allowing you to test any appliance you encounter.
You can expect the 6500-2 to do all the tests required for PAT testing; this tester can measure earth continuity, insulation (at 250V and 500V) and performs several current tests including protective earth conductor current, touch current and substitute leakage current. It can also measure RCDs, appliance power (in kVA) and appliance load current.
There's so much more to the 6500-2; see below for a full breakdown of this tester's capabilities!
*Note - you will require a copy of Fluke's DMS PAT software (sold separately) to analyse results on a PC
