Helmet has full butted chain mail av entail and leather harness. 28" circumference ensures a good fit on most people. It is fairly heavy, being made from 18 gauge steel. The bowl is lacquered black mild steel. Helmet has been worn once, and on display otherwise - it is very well maintained, with no rust or defects.
