Britain's Falklands war against Argentina in 1982.This commemorative spoon is silver plated, it has an aircraft carrier on the top and the bowl is inscribed " FALKLAND'S VICTORY, 14th JUNE, 1982". The back of the handle reads: W.A.P.W. GT.BRITAIN SILVER PLATED. W.A.P.W. stands for Wales Association of Pewter Works. It does not say what ship is on the top.The British had 2 aircraft carriers in service during the war, the HMS Hermes and the HMS Invincible, I think it's probably the Invincible on the spoon, I have been on the Hermes and that one is actually a helicopter carrier. This is a very nice and super rare spoon,I could not find another one.
