Beautiful vintage crystal epergne centerpiece in a Victorian French style, featuring a faceted crystal bowl and tall fluted glass trumpet on an ornate pineapple motif spelter base. The crystal bowl has bright clarity and decorative cut detail, while the removable center vase rises elegantly to hold flowers or display décor.

The heavy cast metal base has a classic French pineapple design, symbolizing hospitality and abundance in Victorian décor. Its footed form and ornate scrollwork make it a perfect statement piece for dining tables, buffets, weddings, or holiday displays.

Condition

Very good vintage condition. No cracks or chips in the crystal bowl or glass trumpet. The metal base shows light age patina consistent with use and age. Displays beautifully.

This is s a lovely epergne! Silver base, most likely French, certainly European. Late 1800s, early 1900s. The absence of a specific mark makes one think it was made by a local French artisan, commissioned by a wealthy family for sure, lovely object, very good condition

The base is a container for bonbons,  

candies. The "vase" for flowers. Perfect centerpiece for a rich table or as a complement for a side table.  Used usually during balls or important dinners. It was a fine complement to "show off" a family's high status and wealth. It looks silver.  No mark.
